The Milky Way Tastes Of Raspberries!

Don't be fooled into thinking it is all chocolatey bliss up there in outer space. Scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn have analyzed the molecules within the Milky Way and found that it is Raspberry flavoured. Ethyl Formate is a fairly common chemical compound that is used on earth as well as in space to recreate that wonderfully fresh, fruity raspberry taste in products as diverse as lollies to lip balm! The results of this amazing mission were set to be presented at the University of Hertfordshire to co-incide with the European Week of Astronomy and Space Science. Yum
