The Snowball

Warren Buffett is perhaps the world's most well-known and successful share trader. Born in Nebraska in 1930 Warren was involved in business from an early age and graduated with an M.S in economics from Colombia University in the 1950's. The book chronicles Buffets trading from the 1960's to the present day. He has consistently out-performed the market, so much so that if you had invested $1 in Warren at the start of his career, you're dollar would now be worth $7000. At the age of 47 Buffett was worth $72 million dollars and had achieved success in his many businesses and newspaper ventures. He was the founder of the "Woodstock for Capitalists" conference for investors, an annual meeting where Buffett and his business partner dispense with some of their financial knowledge. The book paints Buffett as a traditional mid west person who is ultra cautious, hard working and singularly focused on stocks and shares. A great read for anyone looking for some tips and hints of how to make a million from share trading - unfortunately there are no magic formula's, just a lot of hard work a level head and a long term strategy. Day trading is definitely out. To listen to the 2GB podcast please follow this link. If you would like to purchase the book, you can do so by following this link to Amazon.
