Regret the Error

Craig Silverman is a freelance Journalist and chronicler of media mistakes, mis-prints, appologies and retractions. The book and his corresponding web site: Regret the Error make for amusing and sometimes alarming reading. Craig started collecting and tracking errors and corrections back in 2004 with a view to creating a blog after being inspired by a headline in the July edition of the Lexington Herald-Leader. The headline “It has come to the editor’s attention that the Herald-Leader neglected to cover the civil rights movement. We regret the omission.” A case of better late than never?
There are many interesting stories contained within the pages of this book including the time when BBC got the wrong Guy for the job…..

As Webeditor I would like to point out that any grammatical or spelling errors usually come from me rather than from Dr Keith Suter. Please accept my apologies’
