Hello and welcome to my new adventure. My Global Insights blog will contain a daily update of my views on what is happening around the world as I try to make sense of the world's events. It will also contain information on some of my other activities, such as those on Radio 2GB.The site also has a large archive of my weekly Radio 2GB News Commentaries done over the years while I was at Wesley Mission.

Appropriately enough for my beginning something new, the site begins with the election of Barack Obama, who also represents a new era for US politics. I look forward to hearing your comments and thoughts in these exciting times.
